Aji Sai Sushi

Company Description – Serving the Belleville community since 2006, Aji Sai Sushi Belleville is a locally owned Japanese restaurant offering authentic sushi, sashimi, and other traditional dishes through dine-in, takeout, and delivery services. As customer demand for convenient digital ordering continued to grow, manual order-taking and printed menus created operational inefficiencies, slowed service during peak periods, and increased the potential for order errors.

Project Description – Through the Retail Modernization Project Grant (RMPG), Aji Sai Sushi Belleville implemented a QR code–based ordering system integrated with its existing POS. Customers can now browse a digital menu, customize orders, and complete dine-in or takeout purchases directly from their mobile devices, while orders are transmitted to the kitchen in real time. The system also enables instant updates to menu items, pricing, and promotions without the need for printed menus.

Project Impact & Expected Outcomes – The modernization is expected to deliver a 15 per cent increase in productivity, 10 per cent cost savings, and approximately 30 labour hours saved per month. By reducing manual order-taking and improving order accuracy, staff can dedicate more time to food preparation and customer service, creating a faster, more convenient dining experience.
