Business Development Operations
Our Business Development and Commercialization team helps technology-based companies create jobs and economic prosperity by leveraging the full capacity of Ontario’s post secondary research institutions and commercializing research discoveries. The Business Development Managers has prime responsibility to initiate projects under OCI’s Industry Academic Collaboration Program.
Corporate Planning and Development
Our Corporate Planning and Development team sets the overall priorities for the organization to support the economic development objectives of the Government of Ontario. This team sets the short-, mid- and long-term goals for the organization with a focus on maximizing job creation, economic growth and Ontario’s global competitiveness.
Finance, Programs and Administration
OCI is a trusted partner of the Government of Ontario and our project partners because we continually strive to deliver excellent client experiences and value for Ontario taxpayers. Our Finance, Programs and Administration team is responsible for defining and maintaining OCI’s high standards of operational excellence; including a transparent application intake, review and award process, management of awards to ensure quality outcomes, and value for money.
Our Human Resources team engages with and fosters key talent to help OCI deliver and support the Government of Ontario’s mandate to create jobs and build a stronger economy for the future. We strive to facilitate a workplace culture that is both supportive and respectful, enabling our employees to thrive and succeed, and to cultivate an environment where people want to work.
Marketing and Communications
Our Marketing and Communications team builds compelling narratives to increase the visibility of our programs and supported companies. From organizing Discovery, Canada’s largest innovation-to-commercialization conference and trade show, to publishing dynamic print, video, digital and social content, our work takes many forms and reaches audiences across the province.
